Meet Austin, a valued member of our veterinary team at Arbor View Veterinary Clinic, serving as a dedicated veterinary assistant. Austin's journey in the veterinary industry began at the age of 19 at Johnson Ranch Veterinary Clinic from 2008 to 2010. Over the years, he gained experience at Loomis Basin from 2010 to 2015 before joining Mercy Pet Hospital in 2015. Since 2018, Austin has been an indispensable and relied-upon member of the Arbor View team.

His academic achievements include attending Sierra College for his undergraduate studies and obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from UC Davis in 2010, showcasing his commitment to continuous learning and excellence in veterinary care.

Beyond his professional accomplishments, Austin enjoys a variety of hobbies, including board games, video games, and 3D printing. An avid fan of the San Francisco 49ers, he is always eager to share his passion for his favorite football team.

Austin finds his world revolving around his cherished wife, Rachael, whom he considers "the light at the center of his life." He would be lost without her. Expressing deep gratitude, he acknowledges the unwavering support of his mother, Myra; father, Tony; and sister, Kelsey, as some of the nicest people he has ever encountered.

Austin's family extends to his cherished pets, including Catsu Onyo, Strider, and Olivia Benson, his feline companions. In addition, other close friends in the animal kingdom include Virgil, the ball python, and Michele (me-shell, he’s French!), the box turtle.

When asked about his favorite part of veterinary medicine, Austin emphasizes the dynamic nature of the field. Every day brings new faces, new dogs to pet, and new challenges to overcome. Austin finds fulfillment in knowing that he gives his best every day to help animals in the best way he knows how. His dedication and passion make him an invaluable asset to the Arbor View Veterinary Clinic team, where he plays a crucial role in providing top-notch care for our furry friends
