Dr. Monica Plank is a graduate of UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Plank is a northern California native; she grew up in Woodland where she aspired to be a veterinarian from a young age.
Dr. Plank attended UC San Diego where she graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Physiology and Neuroscience. She worked as a veterinary nurse in a small animal hospital and volunteered with various animal rescues throughout her undergraduate studies in San Diego. Throughout vet school, she worked on research projects involving public health, wound healing and wildlife conservation. Dr. Plank has developed a passion for feline medicine and her areas of particular interest in veterinary medicine include ophthalmology, cardiology, and surgery. Her interests are not limited to cats, however, as she loves seeing dogs, and even exotic animals and their families! Dr. Plank married her high school sweetheart, Charles, and they have 4 cats together (Sable, Kudu, Mia, and Alba), one of whom is a tripod! They are hoping to one day add chickens, goats, and horses to their menagerie. Outside of work Dr. Plank enjoys spending time outdoors, crafting, traveling and trying new restaurants with her friends and family.
