Dr. Sydney Umeda received her DVM from Oklahoma State University, College of Veterinary Medicine, but is a Bay Area native. She grew up in San Jose, where she had worked as a veterinary technician, starting in high school and continued through college. She graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Cell Development. Dr. Umeda's special interests include preventative medicine and pathology, with growing interest in soft tissue surgery. Outside of work, she enjoys rock climbing , hiking and baking. She lives in Sacramento with her partner, their FIV+ cats (Turkey and Dove), and four chickens. She feels very lucky to have found Arbor View and looks forward to meeting and taking care of your fur babies!
