Dr. Sydney Umeda received her DVM from Oklahoma State University, College of Veterinary Medicine, but is a Bay Area native. She grew up in San Jose, where she had worked as a veterinary technician, starting in high school and continued through college. She graduated from UC Santa Cruz with a Bachelor's degree in Molecular Cell Development. Dr. Umeda's special interests include preventative medicine and pathology, with growing interest in soft tissue surgery. Outside of work, she enjoys rock climbing , hiking and baking. She lives in Sacramento with her partner, their cat (Turkey the Cat), and four chickens. She feels very lucky to have found Arbor View and looks forward to meeting and taking care of your fur babies!
